The Society of Research on Identity Formation (SRIF); and IDENTITY: An International Journal of Theory and Research (IIJTR) gathers personal information from members and subscribers to provide SRIF and IIJTR membership and organizational services. Personal information is gathered from SRIF and IIJTR members, customers, website users, journal subscribers, and authors submitting material to the journal through secure website form applications and also through personal snail mail correspondences. SRIF and IIJTR are committed to protecting the privacy of their members, customers, website users, journal subscribers, and authors submitting material to the journal. SRIF and IIJTR recognizes the interest of its members, customers, website users, journal subscribers, and authors submitting material to the journal in the confidentiality of their personal information. SRIF and IIJTR only maintains personal information that is relevant to SRIF and IIJTR activities and seeks to maintain accurate, complete, and timely information.
The security of personal information is important to SRIF and IIJTR. SRIF and IIJTR will never sell, rent, or exchange email addresses of its members, customers, website users, journal subscribers, and authors submitting material to the journal.
SRIF and IIJTR uses email addresses to send the following:
- Messages that are deemed as "necessary" by SRIF and IIJTR to help to service SRIF and IIJTR members, customers, website users, journal subscribers, and authors submitting material to the journal including answers to questions; acknowledgments of the receipt of membership/subscription applications, renewal notices, and other orders.
- Occasional "Members, Customers, Website users, Journal subscribers, and Authors submitting material to the journal" announcements about SRIF and IIJTR services that we believe to be of some importance to these groups.
- Personal information provided by authors submitting material to the IIJTR may be shared within SRIF for the purpose of providing individuals with information that may be of interest to them such as membership opportunities and conference announcements.
- Email messaging that is part of a program for which the user has registered (e.g. an SRIF and IIJTR conference updates).
- Email distribution lists targeted at SRIF and IIJTR groups (e.g. specific conference attendees or journal subscribers, etc.).
SRIF and IIJTR created and supported email distribution lists such as the NAME OF LIST SERVE listserv have "unsubscribe" instructions.
